Friends of Bulloch Hall – circa 1839
I went to visit this house simply because it was an old house and a museum open to the public. It is also the childhood home of Mittie Bulloch, who was married there… and she was President Theodore Roosevelt’s mother.
I only mention this as they make a big deal out of it within the house.
Maybe that is how they wound up saving it? I dunno.
It is a neat house, Plantation Plain – one long hall in the center, rooms on each side. Another floor up top, with a large attic space, which most people don’t get to see…
Strange for it’s era, it has an internal kitchen on the bottom level, which is neat.
